Update for 2021-2022:
The Winter Carnival will hopefully be back at ORHS this winter. Date is set for February 5. Watch this space!

We are creating a ROLLING WINTER WONDERLAND DRIVE THROUGH
event in lieu of the Winter Carnival this year! The event will be at Moharimet on Wednesday, February 10 (weather date February 17), from 5:30-7:30 PM. This event will be free, but donations are always welcome and encouraged. Our sister school, Mast Way, is also invited to the festivities!

We are asking the children to construct a luminary at home to display at the event. Like Coding and Cocoa, some support will be available for luminaria construction on February 3. Instructions will be available from your teacher, and a variety of different supplies can be used for construction. The luminary will need to be dropped off at the school between February 4 and February 9. Boxes labeled by the teacher's name will be available for drop off in the vestibule. Please check your newsletter or ask your child's teacher for further instructions!

We will have a “snowball” shooting contest at the Wonderland, launched from your car! Each grade will have a target, and we’ll tally the goals at the end to see which grade is the winner! Snowballs may be a ball of old socks or anything that is snowball sized and at least a little aerodynamic. If you are able to, a ball of new socks can be used and donated afterwards to the school nurse. The “AIM” (get it? aim?) is to have fun!

In addition to viewing the scenes and lights, the children will have an opportunity to do a Scavenger Hunt! Please check By the Bear for more details in the future.

Luminary construction directions are HERE.
